Day1

The first drink of the day was 12 oz smoothie by Odwalla.
This really are some good stuff and more where this comes from.

Hot Mint tea in a Venti (Large) size cup

The total amount of ounces I consumed all the way to 7 PM today as be roughly around 275 which is okay but I know I have to find a way to suplement my need for protein or craving the things I would normally eat. I am quite proud of myself and anyone else who can go through the challenge of consuming only liquids for a whole month. Trust me the world is not going to end and you will not drop dead, in fact you may become more hydrated than you have ever been before.

PI

PI does not only stand for Private investigator but also synonymous with the two books I have been into lately. As someone who is very deep into meditation and aware of the energy that people put out I thought these two books to be very revealing and interesting. The two books are Psychic Intelligence and Psychic Intuition.

People so often look for happiness and acceptance from outside sources when all that matters is how you feel about yourself. Everyone can and has the right to make themselves happyand if for some reason they can not find that contentment than they are blocking out their true self or spirit. Following and listening to what you feel deep inside is more than common sense will be the cause of people not realizing what is weighing them down. These books were very insightful to what happiness is and how one can become their higher self.

The key to both of these books is intuition which is listening to what information the body is telling you or what you perceive to going on in the surroundings. Everyone's thoughts create the energy that they are giving off in the atmosphere, and Kendrick Lamar's song Bitch, Don't Kill my Vibe really testifies to being more aware of how other's may be feeling.

What does this have to do with skin well this intuition of mines helps with finding out what may be causing breakouts like diet and other factors on the body. Some things are not meant to be understood but they sure can be felt.

YO

Yoga overdrive is the only gear that I want to be in and have been trying to understand lately. When I first started college I attempted to get into it because it was a way to workout, because you really can break a sweat and I sweat quick when it comes to yoga which is not common for me when I workout.

Now that I am getting older and time catches up to me I realize that there are so many energy forces that can knock me off of balance. Besides meditation yoga is the key to me having balance in my life which makes perfect sense since I am into Eastern medicine and all the healing practices the Eastern Hemisphere has to offer.

DVD released by  Yoga Journal with Natasha Rizopoulos is Session one, a Step-by-Step guide  and Bikram Yoga has allowed me to get reacquainted with what I have been missing out on.  So now I discovered who started Bikram Yoga, Bikram Choudhury himself and his book has so many great poses that help those with cancer and other diseases such as obesity.  Bikram yoga has 26 poses to practice as well as two signature breathing techniques.

With discipline and practice all the yoga practices can be done at home with no need for a teacher just a book or dvd.

Wellness Wednesdays: Avocados

For Wednesdays the focus will be on nutrition and what is being digested in the body that also has benefits for the skin. Avocados are so beneficial in many ways such as heart health, preventing signs of aging and moisture for the skin. I know that all of the vegetarians and die hard vegans will love all the pictures I have of avocados. If all the ingredients do not really suit you than you can always put the avocados on your skin to hydrate yourself. When avocados are involved there is no need to count your calories, just enjoy their goodness.

I learned that avocados are known as alligator pears and comes from the Aztec word ahuacati, which you can find the meaning here.

Breakfast has been served, A BEAT crossaintwich (Bacon-Egg-Avocado-Tomato) formerly known as BLT, minus the lettuce plus eggs and avocados.
Burger King has nothing on this.

Yummy..traces of tomato seeds, avocado and sharp cheddar cheese

Zumba

The most fun I have had when it comes to working out is at Zumba classes with instructor Eric Ruiz every Wednesday. The music and dance moves always keep the body in movement and allows me to sweat a lot which doesn't come easy. These moves are something that can be done in the comfort of one's home but the energy from the group and interaction with the instructor makes loosing calories so much fun. I stayed behind after everyone left to attempt some ab workouts because I can afford to lose some inches in my waist. Very interesting how Wilma seemed to fail me after my recent workout and I now know she was always kind of jealous or couldn't hide that fact because I was having a lot of fun while sweating more than I really do.

Just on the contrary I love seeing Beyonce on the cover of Shape magazine for the April issue.

Looking to have fun and you are in the DC metro area than check out the Dance Institute of Washington in Columbia Heights for all the adult dance classes offered.

Still have some more work to do

Working out leaves me with good feelings
Mayday..mayday..I love a body with sunny disposition

Good Eats

For the last week I enjoyed some food from Chicken and Rice located in Washington, D. C. Atlas District and the famous Henry's Soul Cafe downtown. Who needs to eat on a budget when eating good costs and especially the lovely tastes of Indian, Thai Soul cuisine. One of these days I will become a true blue vegetarian when I can find a way to have enough protein to compensate for the meat that I enjoy so much. I just love my buccal nerve and buccinator muscle because without them I would probably have to eat from a straw. When it comes to eating properly everything that is ingested must be thought of as medicine because health is something that everyone can take into their own hands.

Side of Mac-N-Cheese with some lemonade

Soul food is good for the soul. So good it makes my windows (eyes) a little blurry.

Waiting for the cook to come back.

Theme song from Jeopardy and still thinking  what's up.

Still waiting....but when it comes to Indian food, I always have time.
Recommended by USDA with the Vegetables and Fruit group being the most important.

Wax On...Wax Off.

What is the meaning of all this mess that has been caused with me getting worked up into...all for the sake of beauty. Really waxing is not my thing at all because I don't like seeing anyone in pain and let's face it waxing can be a painful service. I had a day of waxing only in my recent class and of course I am always humbled and shall remain that way. Only two guests but I know I put my all or at least my dedication into their services and how nice that both guests were new to Washington, D.C. I have only done waxing on the face which includes the eyebrows, lips, chin and sideburns so doing the body was a new learning experience. Working on my application technique is of importance when it comes to my speed. Waxing has some nice results but the process is sort of exhaustive and takes some getting used to for someone that has been described by others using a big word like condescending

The whole purpose is to transform when it comes to waxing which I have been going through spiritually up to this point. My spirit has been exfoliated like wax naturally does to skin when ripped off and meditating will soothe my soul and spirit like tea tree oil does for the raw skin.

Despite my need for improvement when it comes to waxing the body below the decollete I will remain in the wonders of my own world while revisiting Chapter 18: Hair Removal.

What a day that lied ahead.

What you looking at?

I am a rare breed not that many can get like me.

Sun Rays and Smooches...

Okay I'm ready for whatever and that means walk-ins with my eyebrows kind of uneven.
