Mind your Beeswax

The ultimate in Winter Skincare and all year long would be Burt's Bees I am delighted to be using. It was all my pleasure to discover the wealth and greatness that comes from bees. The products above by Burts Bees are what is working for me but they have so many more goodies to choose from. The history of the brand and how well but together the products are is definitely something you should experience.

Also, all things honey and coming from bees are sort of a hidden treasure when it comes to beauty and I am happy to have struck gold. For those with natural hair; when straightening that hair out Bees Wax works wonders and is a good alternative to plain pressing oil.

I just slick this on my  kinky tresses before I flat iron for smooth and relaxed feel.

Facial Mask

I am loving the "New" Feeling Beautiful Facial Mask by Freeman. So far I have the Mint & Lemon, Avocado & Oatmeal and Dead Sea Minerals. All the ingredients are perfect to purify the skin and keep things looking good and purging the pores.

This is the ultimate of the new facial masks and stress free is the way to be because you are too blessed.

The reflection from the flash has the "S" in Mask looking like a dollar sign almost..... and how sweet is that?

Glorious Day.......

Today was such a wonderful day and for those who did not get a chance to go outside or may forget what to be thankful for, I am sharing my view of the world. Nothing but light and goodness is what I want for my life and  all you darlings. We have to bask in all of the glorious things of nature and all the beauty that sometimes goes overlooked.

I'm not playing around, Hindu is a wonderful way of life.

Solar energy and the silhouette of the trees are lovely

Sun shining through the clouds, always finding a way somehow.

Yes, the sun is the most brightest star.

I love and admire beauty in it's natural state.

Love must be in the air.....

Every time I go to check my email I see something with couples and the whole wedding thing. What a beautiful thing it is when someone find's their match and can pull of a ceremony to cherish. I just had to share a photo of the make-up I did for a Chinese model who was the first Asian I worked on. Lovely cheekbones she had with almond shaped eyes and, I have to brag or admit that she looked the best in the fashion show. Bottom line, I love all Asians and that means Chinese, Japanese, Indians, Iranians, Bengali's, Lebanese and Pakistani's.

FYE (For your education): Asia contains 50 countries

The lighting on here is much softer than the photos below so the effect is different. Chinese bride I did make-up on.

Lash Line

Lately, I have made a attempt to wear false eyelashes which started for December. Honestly, I am not the best when it comes to applying them on myself but with others it is a easier task. My preference is natural lashes that grow out of your follicles but of course in the business of beauty you have to get artificial sometimes.  Here are two looks for me with one being more playful and pink, while the other was a little more dramatic  with neutral tones. The first look was more colorful with blush and pink lips while the other I had bronzey eye-shadow and shimmery lips. The secret weapon for my eyes were Ardell Double Up false eyelashes,  black mascara and dark pencil eyeliner. My face wasn't picture perfect ready to be published in a fashion magazine, especially in my daytime pink flushed look.  All pictures of me taken with camera phone and it's all bout the lash lines.

Dear Darlings,

I was up in Starbucks if you can't tell meeting up with a Public Relations guy named Anthony Dews just having a little fun in front of the camera trying to talk to my Darlings that will pay attention or listen to me. Just in case you are wondering I was wearing nothing on my face except moisturizer, NYX Glitter cream Palette in "Royal Violets" and "Just peachy" lipstick. Bring joy to the world, while letting me make you up, make you over and just write or work something out. Hugs and kisses.....

Anti-Aging Eye Cream

I was lucky enough to be given minus 417, which is known as changing the beauty level.

To apply creme for use only on the thin layer of skin located on the contours under the eyes and neck. Of course this is only meant for external use so this should be kept away from children and stays out of the eyes.

You can purchase this eye cream at this link.

Uplifting

Beauty of Essence has really stepped the design game up with their lotion, body washes and body spray products. I am loving the results of the Citrus Coconut body wash that can be found at your local CVS. What a wonderful feeling it is to be clean and uplifted. There are many other mixtures to choose from that have various effects.

Neutral Attitude

Happy Holidays to all of you Beauties celebrating during this winter season.

During this time of the year not only is having a neutral beauty look important but also a neutral attitude with all of the hustle and bustle that come along with gatherings. Things can get chaotic around the Christmas tree as well as shopping time. Times may be rough or smooth during the last days in a year, but at least you can have a golden glow to bring in the new years. If you want to add a little more color red lips are a must have. Throughout the whole year it is best to maintain a neutral attitude and live your life like it's golden.

Candy Cane

In the holiday spirit I choose to get kind of creative with my nail polish and design. I ended up with something that looks tribal and reminds me of candy canes. Yummy!....if only nail polish had some flavor to taste.

The top coat and base coat are the most important because they seal and protect the color, which helps the nail colors last a good amount of time without chipping. CND "Air Dry" top coat was used with CND "Toughen Up" Base Coat.

My Philosophy on Skincare

Cleanse daily, use a toner, drink more than enough water and vitamin enriched drinks, have some tea, exfoliate twice a week, apply a mask weekly, love yourself and just look in the mirror to smile at yourself and don't forget to blow yourself a kiss. Nothing is wrong with using different brands of the products as long as the results show that your skin is cared for.

Clearing things Up.....

The population that I want to really cater to would be women, especially those mothers who go at it alone or even the ones with a spouse because they give so much of themselves. I want to be able to replenish women and have them feeling and seeing themselves in a positive state while refining their skin.

Also, to be correct I want to state that men are really a huge focus because they need as much balance as they can get. There should not be a sense of entitlement greater than actually having an attitude of gratitude. All I want to do is provide treatments for the skin, but more than anything the soul.

You are beautiful and every single last part of you is beautiful and we all need balance and to pamper ourselves.

Everyone is welcome and I will work with as long as there are no signs of Contagious Diseases that can be viewed on the face, back or areas that waxing take place.

Infectious and Communicable Diseases:

1. Pink Eye

2. Herpes simplex virus I

3. Genital Herpes

4. Shingles

5. Impetigo

6. Tinea

7. Ringworm

8. Warts (this is a exception because I can wear gloves)

P.S.- If you are infected with any of these please see a doctor.

Tip # 1

Today I was asked about getting rid of under eye circles and my first reaction was a honest "I don't know," because I can't claim to be a expert yet. Also, I'm not the one to front and give bad advice, but only what beauty and wellness regiments work for me.

However, I know that the techniques I have used have been using cucumber slices on my eyes while I let my mask sit or just let them rest over my eyes while I lay in the bathtub. Also, I have used gel masks and fallen asleep with them on because it's that rejuvenating.  There  have been times I lay in bed relaxing with cucumbers on my eyes just to unwind and to prevent all of the things that may go wrong to the sensitive area around the eyes.

After this question that was raised, I did some research and  found a solid solution from www.LiveStrong.com which is a great website to go to for nutrition advice and health related topics.

If life is very stressful for you or just in need of treating those under eyes in a natural way; I see no harm in indulging your eyes in a cooling ritual everyday. You deserve to be treated with care and love so do yourself this favor and try it once. If one of these remedies work than make this apart of your daily routine in the morning or at night.

Number one on the list was cucumbers which is what I have done for years or just have picked it up because naturally I just intuitively know it would help and thanks to TV and movies.

Number two on the list is  tea bags which was a delightful discovery since I love tea bags.

Number three on the list which I would not have thought of, ***drumroll*** egg whites.

Analyzing the Skin

So far I think I have found my favorite part of my textbook and that is analyzing the skin so that the appropriate treatment can be chosen and performed on the the client. The common terms used in the chapter of Skin Analysis are below.

Actinic-Damage or condition caused by sun exposure

Alipidic- Lack of oil or "lack of lipids". Describes skin that does not produce enough sebum, indicated by absence of visible pores.

Contraindications- Factors that prohibit a treatment due to a condition; treatments could cause harmful or negative side effects to those who have specific medical or skin conditions.

Couperose skin- Redness, distended capillaries from weakening of the capillary walls.

Dehydration- Lack of Water

Fitzpatrick Scale- Scale used to measure the skin type's ability to tolerate sun exposure.

Occlusive- Occlusive products are thick and lay on top of the skin to reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL); helps hold in moisture, and protect the skin's top barrier layer.

Skin types- Classification that describes a person's genetic skin type.

T-Zone- Center area of the face; corresponds to the "T" shaped formed by forehead, nose, and chin.

Children Learn What They Live By

The time was now to share this poem as my spirit just moved me to publish this on my page. How heartfelt life is and things are bound to happen that may be heartbreaking, but somehow the pieces have to be put together. Everyone has value no matter what label society may put on them, self-esteem is something that needs to be worked on and security of mind and spirit is needed more and more.

With the tragic incident that has happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the United States it shows that now more than ever before; people should be good to themselves and others. Somehow we have to see someone hurting so that we can catch them in order to prevent everyone from falling hard out of grace. Children are going through a lot of things, but I am happy that I am aware of all the joys that come from being a child when you know you are loved and protected by a trusted caring adult. Childhood should be a time of innocence that endures with the hope that it will not being taken away by no man.

This is a powerful yet simple poem that explains everything well when it comes to behavior.
written by: Dorothy Law Nolton (January 12, 1924- November 6, 2005)
Here is the version given to me that I thought I should share.

Children Learn What They Live (1969)
BY DOROTHY LAW NOLTE
If a child lives with criticism,
He learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility,
He learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule,
He learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame,
He learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance,
He learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement,
He learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise,
He learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness,
He learns justice.
If a child lives with security,
He learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval,
He learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,
He learns to find love in the world.

Daily Cleansing

When it comes to keeping skin maintenance up it is important to cleanse daily and I have found Kiehl's, Neutrogena, Noxema and Aveda skincare products to be beneficial.

Here are my favorites for Normal to Oily skin types that may be prone to acne.
