The beauty of Melanin

One of my favorite skincare lines is "Nuance" from the beautiful Salma Hayek who is Mexican and Lebanese, which  explains why she is great to look at. This line has been out since August 2011 with high quality ingredients for affordable prices.

So far the products I have tried is the body scrub as well as the exfoliating enzyme mask. Not only does this product line have cleansers and moisturizers but make-up as well. Here is a review from a blogger and the greatest thing about the products is they smell delicious and feel great on the skin as well.

What a lovely book that showcases the reality of history for fashion models and just how beautiful skin that contains or produces melanin really is. This is one of the most impressive beauty books I have seen because it really is a guide of taking care of the skin and how make-up is applied to achieve different looks.

Just in case you do not know the meaning of Melanin, here is one according to the Encyclopedia on this website which is legit.

"Any of several organic compounds, dark biological pigments that give coloration (shades of yellow to brown) to skin, hair, feathers, scales, eyes, and some internal tissues, notably the substantia nigra in the brain. In humans, melanins help protect the skin against the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation, but melanoma may arise from cells that produce it. The amount in the skin depends on both genetic and environmental factors. Melanin is produced from the amino acid tyrosine; albinos lack the enzyme that catalyzes that reaction."

Clearing things Up

So now I have to make sure that things are completely on the up and up for people to know where I am coming from, because they have not been told the truth about me. This is to have no pun intented, but besides loving clear and clean faces I had to make "Miss Darling's Declaration of Lesbianism" to clear things up. I find it so interesting how diluted the thoughts are in people's minds from being disgusted with the laughter that I would be wanting to take away someone's"property". I am just amazed at the ways of the world and the fact that a lot of woman actually believe that men or some of them are like a gift to women: umm dead wrong or that's merely a lie. Men are just beast and was the first or more masuline human to be created and bless all the women who choose or fall to put up with them. I know the complete truth and well it simply hurts to know that Women are the gift and the perfection when it comes to human life despite me noticing that no one has seemed to come to that realization or...............you can finish with whatever you think is right.

Dont' you think I'm so sexy?....... I'm just so clean and clear.

Natural Cleansing and Antiseptic

I  love tea tree oil because of all the benefits and the fact that it can be categorized as natural antiseptic, germicide, antibacterial & fungicide. In case you do not know what a Antiseptic is, here you go: a substance that inhibits the growth and development of microorganisms without necessarily killing them. Tea tree oil comes from the Australian Melaleuca tree which is grown mainly in Australia. Idefinitely reccommend the product below which comes from the Desert Essence line with many products to choose from.

Also, another great brand is Seba Med which has products for everyone's skin and hair needs. I love the liquid face and body wash for Sensitive Skin because wherever there is skin this can be applied. Most cleansers or for the face only or the body but this can be applied all over which knocks ou two birds with one stone. 

American Manicure

It has been awhile since I treated myself to a manicure since I usually do it myself, but I had to try the American Manicure which is similar to the French manicure. Also, I received a paraffin wax which left the skin on my hands feeling super moisturized and is a beauty experience that everyone should experience at least once.

Paraffin wax is completely safe and can be eaten since this is a item sold in grovery stores and used for cooking. Here you can check out how to give yourself a paraffin wax treatment.


Before my polish was applied both of my hands were dipped in the wax three times and covered with a plastic bag to sit on there for about four minutes.

Vacation Style

When it comes to getting away, it is nothing more than a state of mind. With a straw hat to shield my face from the sun and a sundress makes things perfect for summer fun. The best thing about vacation style is being and feeling completely natural with sunscreen (meaning no make-up) . Well there are some exceptions like some lipgloss, lipstick, bronzer if you must and other things. Oh and there is nothing that compares to summer loving along with the natural beauty of Mariah Carey's voice and make-up looks as well as her long locs.














I absolutely love the remake of Prince's The Beautiful Ones which sends me flying away to serenity or a dreamland.

When the temperatures are high it is always nice to have summer loving with beautiful people that are at peace with themselves. Oh Darling, cause you will always be my baby.

After Sun Care

As the summer days get hotter and we soak up the sun rays I know what helps to relieve the skin. Also, after  coming from the pool or beach it is necessary to cleanse and get rid of the chemicals that are residing on the skin. This ritual is perfect for cooling the skin whether or not you have a sunburn. It is amazing how being in the sun all day can naturally raise the bodies temperature which is why staying hydrated is very important in the summer.


Not only is Nozema good for the face but the whole body as well.


The first step is to run bath water than pour a generous amount( 1/2 cup to 1 cup) of the Village Company therapy aches and pains relief Bath Mineral Soak. 

Than the next step is to rub the noxema on your face and allover legs, arms, abs, back and just massage in to cleanse. If you have a 12 oz. jar you can apply as much as needed because the amount is a lot to work with and lasts for at least two months. You just let it sit for awhile and rinse off and the bath water than may look like it contains a babies spit up after drinking milk.

You will be able to feel the difference of your skin and notice that it is smooth and naturally moist. Following these steps may also be the key to dealing with ingrown hairs or preventing them because this cleansing really gets the excess oil out of the follicles. Using soap or what you normally cleanse with is optional but I did not add anything else to my skin and I feel very clean and clear. After the skin will feel cool and softer. I am happy I tried this new approach and made me think that I should have been doing this all along and is something I will continue to do.

PI

PI does not only stand for Private investigator but also synonymous with the two books I have been into lately. As someone who is very deep into meditation and aware of the energy that people put out I thought these two books to be very revealing and interesting. The two books are Psychic Intelligence and Psychic Intuition. 

People so often look for happiness and acceptance from outside sources when all that matters is how you feel about yourself. Everyone can and has the right to make themselves happyand if for some reason they can not find that contentment than they are blocking out their true self or spirit. Following and listening to what you feel deep inside is more than common sense will be the cause of people not realizing what is weighing them down. These books were very insightful to what happiness is and how one can become their higher self.

The key to both of these books is intuition which is listening to what information the body is telling you or what you perceive to going on in the surroundings. Everyone's thoughts create the energy that they are giving off in the atmosphere, and Kendrick Lamar's song Bitch, Don't Kill my Vibe really testifies to being more aware of how other's may be feeling.

What does this have to do with skin well this intuition of mines helps with finding out what may be causing breakouts like diet and other factors on the body. Some things are not meant to be understood but they sure can be felt. 

On Cloud 9

I finally got around to filling out my application to be mailed out to the Professional Credential Services located all the way in Nashville, TN. I have been putting it off for some time (like weeks and days and hours) just to enjoy myself for awhile, but a salon owner reminded me what am I waiting for. Every once in awhile we all need a wake-up call to keep on pushing to realize the natural power we have to be responsible. I went in a circle just to get my photo taken for the license and fed a squirrel in the park on the way to FED EX to send my application through ground shipping.

Given so many choices in life the only path that matters is filled with love and all I could think of was Adele's breakout song Chasing Pavements. Whatever you believe in or don't you must know that you were created for a purpose and are part of a master plan from a higher power. The bottom line is to live the life you love and even if that leads nowhere than it was really all worth it.




On a side note: I love Adele's ivory skin and the simplicity of her look. Very natural with lip balm, black eyeliner and some blush and mascara on real eyelashes is always the right way to go.

H2O Plus

A new line that I discovered that is very hydrating for the skin and offers some of the best ingredients would be H2O Plus. H2O + is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois like a majority of other beauty brands, but what separates this from the others is that the key ingredients come from the Sea. 

Really, when it comes to great skin the sea does unlock a lot of the secrets to creating a youthful glow. There are so many specific collections apart of H2O + that meet the needs of different skin types. Other brands may say that they are this and that but H2O+ list all their ingredients in a glossary so you know what is being put into their products. 

If you have oily skin, dry skin or aging skin than H2O+ has something for you and really helps with sensitive skin types. With H2O+ I have found what I have been fishing for all along with skincare products.

I have yet to try out their other collections, but I know they are very high in quality. I have yet to use a eye-make up remover that does not irritate one bit and gets rid of all the residue from eye make-up. The bottom line is that when you have a water based skincare line that uses the science of marine biology you can not go wrong.

Neurodermatitis

Recently this past Wednesday I was blessed with the chance to do a back treatment on a firefighter who had been in service for over twenty years. I gained hands on experience with a skin condition that I have never really seen before. In my Milady textbook I have read about dermatitis and seen pictures but nothing such as this. There was a darker patch of skin right at the center of the spine that appeared leathery just like football skin, literally. After careful exfoliation using a natural scrub and a clay mask to draw out impurities the leathery patch was still there. Besides that spot there was discoloration lower down on the spine which was removed from my treatment. There was a lot of dead skin that needed to be removed and the results of my service was refreshed skin that amazed me.

Neurodermatitis is also known as Lichen simplex chronicus (LSC) which is chronic itching that causes thick, leathery, brownish skin. • It may begin with something that rubs, irritates, or scratches the skin, such as clothing.
• This causes the person to rub or scratch the affected area. Constant scratching causes the skin to thicken.
• The thickened skin itches, causing more scratching, causing more thickening.

From all of the listed solutions or medication, the best thing is to moisturize extensively and use a strong astringent such as Sea Breeze and applying a cortisone cream.

More than a Mart...

I mean Wal-Mart has a lot to offer and they beat the prices of Target along with other stores that offer low prices. Wal-Mart is the center of some small towns and neighborhood supermarket. For the first time I got my eyebrows waxed at the nail salon in one of the Super Wal-Mart's which now have McDonald's fast food restaurant, nail salons, banks and other goodies such as auto repair shop.

The only thing that I was wearing on my face was some moisturizer and Milani Color Statement lipstick in Fruit Punch which is the best way to make a statement when you are stressed out. Not only are the colors nice but the lipstick leaves the lips feeling moist and smells good. Neutrogena has really good products out, made just for acne that may want to pop up when we feel stress. and to deal with stress means cleansing.

Technology is supposedly suppose to make life easier but it seems to make things more complicated. The time that has passed from April to May has brought some trauma to my skin or at least leading to the point of my eyebrow wax. My first wax after graduating from the Aveda Institute as well and I choose none other than Wal-Mart and I like how they came out.
