The beauty of Melanin

One of my favorite skincare lines is "Nuance" from the beautiful Salma Hayek who is Mexican and Lebanese, which  explains why she is great to look at. This line has been out since August 2011 with high quality ingredients for affordable prices.

So far the products I have tried is the body scrub as well as the exfoliating enzyme mask. Not only does this product line have cleansers and moisturizers but make-up as well. Here is a review from a blogger and the greatest thing about the products is they smell delicious and feel great on the skin as well.

Isn't she lovely

Released October 2005

What a lovely book that showcases the reality of history for fashion models and just how beautiful skin that contains or produces melanin really is. This is one of the most impressive beauty books I have seen because it really is a guide of taking care of the skin and how make-up is applied to achieve different looks.

Just in case you do not know the meaning of Melanin, here is one according to the Encyclopedia on this website which is legit.

"Any of several organic compounds, dark biological pigments that give coloration (shades of yellow to brown) to skin, hair, feathers, scales, eyes, and some internal tissues, notably the substantia nigra in the brain. In humans, melanins help protect the skin against the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation, but melanoma may arise from cells that produce it. The amount in the skin depends on both genetic and environmental factors. Melanin is produced from the amino acid tyrosine; albinos lack the enzyme that catalyzes that reaction."

Sunny June

I am looking and feeling just like sunshine with MAC's Pro Longwear eyeshadow in Always Sunny which is the only way to be. The good thing about this brand is that it basically is good for being water-proof and delivering good results of lasting 24 hours plus. Also, I used Revlon Pink Cloud Shine (801) lipstick which is filled with moisture. (Do not mind the marks left on my nose from my sunglasses.) What a sunny June day that will becoming to a close with a bang.

I actually have the CC cream on my face, which is below

Looks like I am in a haze but really it is a heat wave and having a higher power watching over me.

Jazzy Day

What a day oh what a day. I mean I was kind of a hot mess with being completely natural with only lipstick and moisturizer suited me well. The weather was hot and humid and the Potomac river was peaceful. Before the photoshoot at the Moca Art Gallery in Georgetown I had my pictures taken and later enjoyede some live Jazz Music at HR-57 in the Atlas District of Washington, DC. I was feeling revived that I had to dance to the Cuban/Spanish music once I cooled down.

The model: Before

After with glittery eyes and glossy lips that is natural

The make-up that I used on her for Foundation was Iman sticks in Earth 3 and 6, Covergirl Queen Collection bronzer, Black radiance liquid eyeliner, Stiletto mascara, Ruby Kisses gloss and NYX gloss and some blush. Very fun and interesting photo shoot and I met another make-up artist Aleah C.

Love the Jazz music

I.L.L.J.P

I love LesJoueurs Photography because of the clear creativity and high quality photos that are presented when all the editing is done after being apart of the production.

So far I have been lucky enough to work with the main in charge of LesJoueurs two times for 2013 and some magic has been created. The professionality is so amazing and the bottom line is that their is not much playing around.

My breath is just taken away at my make-up artistry along with the outcome.

On a side-note: When I showed another make-up artist this look for a vintage clothing store they told me that the eyes were overkill or too much as though something was wrong. I love this image and it is quite alright and what makes it even greater is that my style is different and I am not you. The looks are not at you the model is looking right, eyes gazing above.

Falling for NY

I will bring things back for a little while of the good time that I spent in NY in the Fall of 2012, this is celebrating Throwback Thursday. I got my hands and feet done in with Gel nail polish by Vivian and she did a great job. New York truly is the city that never sleeps and there is so much to take in and view. The people are always on the go and the diversity is amazing but somewhat overwhelming.
